Anyone who owns a dog needs to have homeowner's, condo, or renter's insurance that (1) provides coverage for, and does not exclude, injuries inflicted by dogs or animals in general, and (2) has a limit of at least $100,000 for personal liability. If you own a pit bull, rottweiler, akita, or one of the other breeds on the "dangerous breeds" list we would recommend a minimum of $300,000 for personal liability.
These are the most commonly excluded breeds:
- 1. Pit Bulls
- 2. Rottweilers
- 3. German Shepherds
- 4. Huskies
- 5. Alaskan Malamutes
- 6. Doberman Pinschers
- 7. Chow Chows
- 8. Great Danes
- 9. St. Bernards
- 10. Akitas

We are avid supporters of many dog rescues and have a special passion for Pit Bulls and Chihuahua's. Currently we own three Chihuaha's (Doodle, Wendy Lu, & Huey) and a Pit/Lab mix named Molly. We firmly believe all pets should be spayed/neutered and take this stance for two reasons;
- Almost 1,000,000 (that's a million!) Pit Bulls are killed every year in shelters across the U.S.. The numbers are more staggering when you add in the other breeds.
- Almost 80% of all dog bites involve animals who are not neutered or spayed.
